Saved By the Blood of Jesus Christ
The above comes out of a youth Sunday School I taught recently concerning God's will. The
question we examined that morning was are we open to what God has for us? Are we really ready
to put aside our own wants and desires to follow the Lord? This little logo reminds us that
we need to be open to anything, at anytime, and anywhere. A challenge for all of us!
What do I mean by that? Good question! The Bible instructs us to tithe on everything we have. Malachi 3 talks about how we are robbing God if we keep our tithe from him. Tithe is often times translated "a tenth". Think about this, we are to tithe on everything God has given us. He gave you this day, have you given back to him? 10% of 24 hours is 2 hours, 24 minutes. Are you willing to devote 2 hours and 24 minutes to God's service each and every day? Think about it!
Saved by the Blood of Jesus Christ. We are all born sinful creatures. We cannot make it in this world on our own, we are lost! God was faithful to us and sent his son Jesus Christ to save us from our sins! He was hung on a cross, shed his blood, and in doing so paid the price for all of our sin. At that moment, we were offered the gift of everlasting life in Heaven with God, and that offer is still good today! I accepted that gift, I am now freed from the bondage of sin. How about you?
